In short: Despite the poor signposting and the challenging terrain, I loved this event. Will be back next year to repair the poor finishing time.

In short: It felt like one big hill but I looked at the scenery and kept thinking lemon cheesecake (I'd made it as a post run treat for my friends and I).

In short: Lovely course but could have been signposted better especially as there were few marshals on the course. Wish I wore my road shoes instead of my trail shoes as the ground was very hard and I could have done with the extra cushioning. Definitely do it

In short: A Challenge - not a race - one to find the route - the other to finish
In full: Organisers need some help from the runners.
could not believe how long it took to get my number on the day.
If the entry form says route will be marked - then IT HAS TO BE MARKED - whether or not a map is handed out.
If the event is to grow - just needs a few tweaks - in any case a great challenge !

In short: If you are lucky with the weather this is a great day out
In full: Last year's event was 29.1 miles measured by GPS - this year the promised shorter version was still 27.3 miles measured by GPS - still some tweaking to do there. Could do with a few more direction arrows. We are local so know where we are but for visitors it could be daunting in places. Biscuits at the water stations most welcome. The "Tough One" is one of the best off road marathons I have done
