In short: Tough for an average runner with an "undulating" aspect!! I normally tottle round a half in 1:45 and clocked 1:55 here. Very well organised and a great "Rugby shirt" as a gift, will do in 2011 to get another shirt!!! Date of review: November 6, 2011

In full: My second time running this race. Got a PB last year but fully unprepared for this year and was a whole 15mins slower - Disaster! (the course did measure 1.2km longer on the same Garmin forerunner but no excuses for an extra quater of an hour).
Will be back next year and will beat 2009's PB here.
P.S. it's not a hilly course. If you want hills come and try the Dursley Dozen in Feb! Date of review: December 19, 2010

In short: Excellent organisation as usual In full: As usual the organisation of the race was excellent. The bus transfer works well. Chip collection etc was straightforward. Prefer the rugby shirt memento rather than a medal. Plenty of marshals out on the course. The route is hilly in places, but the last 3.5 miles are mostly downhill.

In short: A wonderful way to end the year - up gentle hill and down dale, a beautiful nip in the air, delightful marshalls and a lovely cosy rugby jumper to warm up in at the finish. Date of review: December 16, 2010

In short: An excellent first half experience In full: As this was my first half and first road race I was very nervous! But the marshalls were brilliant and other runners very encouraging too. A great course and excellent locations for drink stations just didnt like being bused in and out but I can understand why. Will definitely be back next year to improve my time and hopefully not have the leg pain at mile 10 again!! Date of review: December 16, 2010

In short: A beautful and excellently organized event In full: An incredibly well organised event by Bedford Harriers. The generally up first half and down second half gave me a very flattering negative split. The course was slightly long. Very enjoyable and I will be back next year. Date of review: December 16, 2010

In short: Great marshalls, well organised, good value. In full: My first Bedford Half and well worth it. It's not the easiest of courses but it provided excellent training. Well organised and really great marshalling. Especially enjoyed the TA(?) boys at the last water stop barking encouragement! Thank you, I'll be back next year. Date of review: December 15, 2010
