In short: Tough course. Well organised & friendly.
In full: Others have said it all. Very clear race brief. Excellent facilities. A good mix of participants & beginners would be welcomed, though they'd need to be prepared for hills!

In short: Harder than what it says on the tin but well worth it when you complete the course!
In full: Thankfully the rain stopped just before the race started, which was nice. The course was 14.3miles which meant a push at the end (this was only my second half-marathon!) but because it was off-road I found it much easier on my feet and ankles as had problems with all the road running on my last one. Extremely well marshalled and the girl on the cattle grid near the start particularly friendly - thanks Gills! Would definitely go to this race again, super friendly organisers and hot showers at the end, soup and bread in a lush setting, what else do you need from a race??!!

In short: Tough but fun
In full: Tough hilly off road race, great fun and well organised. The Marshals were friendly and encouraging and the facilities at the end were great. Some sort of memento at the end would have been nice but regardless of this I would highly recommend this race.

In short: Stunning route
In full: An excellent off road race. Glorious route & well organised. No chip timing as advertised but not a major issue. Pre race brief very clear & consise advising of extra length & no mile markers. Could have done with a better goody bag/momento but post race facilities excellent with use of the changing rooms & pool (Appreciate the pool may not have been to all peoples tastes) First time for me on this one but looks like the previous events negative comments were acted upon. Hope to be back again

In short: Hilly and more than a half! Well-organised and friendly.
In full: Overall a well-organised race, no problems on the course, plenty of water stations and signposting. Quite hilly, and it was about 14.3 miles rather than 13.1. Wasn't too worried about no chip timing as it didn't really need it. Nice to have hot soup afterwards.

In short: Challenging race with great scenery & organisation
In full: No chip timing (which had been advertised). Overall great race, very friendly - both competitors & marshalls. Quite a hilly course - hills seemed worse on the way back! Not too much mud & luckily the rain stopped! No mile markers but good directions markers. Garmin measured course as 14.3 miles.
