Some were even providing additional waterstops with bottles, cups of water and some with sweets and ice lollies! Really makes you feel good and helps power you up those hills which were plentiful.
My only gripe with the day was the appalling lack of organisation at the start. We were instructed to make our way over to the start (which wasn't marked) and then only realised some two or three minutes later that the race had been started. With no start line, foghorn or gun it's a bit difficult with those sort of numbers to know what's going on if you're at the back of the field. Anyway it was a good day and still got a decent time so hooray!! Date of review: June 11, 2007

In short: hard but rewarding In full: the only problem i have with this race is putting a very steep hill right in at the end of the race( milton road) that hill stopped most people from running a pb Date of review: June 11, 2007
In short: If you only do one half a year put the effort into this one In full: The organisation, the route and the value for money -goody bag all brilliant. The crowds are fantastic and if you want to know where half the hills in the area are hid go on this race! Date of review: June 10, 2007
