In short: Thoroughly well organised - mile markers throughout, marshalls doing a great job and water when needed. Nearly traffic free. Good mix of serious running and friendly village atmosphere. Well done again Hampton Tennis Club.
In full: A feather in the cap for 'Hampton 2012'!(See "Olympic village lies in a corner of England" - Telegraph 29.12.04).

Scorching last year, sweltering this time, what next?

In short: My fav now for the 2 years its been running
In full: Although far too hot - lovely run, well organised and plenty of much needed water and energy drinks. Good to be at the back of the field and still see marshals! Will be back next year

In short: a late June race always has the possibility of warm / hot weather, can make it unbearable! but I'll be back as it's only just down the road for me.

In short: Who's sick idea to stick that hill at 8 mile
In full: Good bits - Fantastic medal, one of the friendliest races i have ever been to, very scenic run, very well organised, High five available at water stations, locals joined in the unofficial water stations and hose pipes

Bad bits - The weather (obviously not the organisers fault), inadequate toilets, first aid seemed to be lacking during the race - one lad collapsed at the end and it seemed to take a long time for medics to get to him, personally I suffered from the joggers nipple from about mile 4 and not one marshall I asked had any plasters at hand. Given the extremely hot day we had I think it caught the organisers by surprise - especially with regards to the aerobics session that was set up before the race. No one in their right mind was going to take part given how hot it was.

Overall - adversity has a way of bringing out the worst in any situation - if it hadn't been so bloomin hot I think this had a chance of being one of the best races in the year. The medal was one of the best I have ever had though - thanks for a fab race guys and next time make sure it is not so hot :)

In short: Hot Hot Hot
In full: Unfortunately the hot refers to the weather and not my performance.

Good organisation.
Really appreciated the locals contributing with hosepipes and water.

In short: It was a day for watching rather than running! Very hot.
In full: The race goes through some lovely countryside and villages. The run past the lake would have been great if it weren't for the sun beating down. Thanks to the organisers, especially for bringing out lots of extra water at the end.
