In short: Glorious scenery, great wines; oh, and one long hill (twice)
In full: A lovely, mixed terrain run for the not too serious. Wine at the drink stops helped to lift the spirits, but the magnificent views lifted them even higher.
Only one hill, the organisers promised - yes, but it was a couple of miles long and had to be done twice.

In short: another superb ETL event
In full: really enjoyed this race, got a good t-shirt, nice heavy medal to add to my collection and some chat with other runners.

If I'm still running marathons at 47 I wil be a very happy man

In short: Expensive, but lovely route and very well marshalled
In full: Route is great up the north downs above the vineyard and lucky to have a second year of good weather in which to admire the views.
Route was very well sign posted and enthusiastically marshalled, with well stocked 'water' stations every couple of miles or so with plenty of water, gels, sweets and wine - not that I was tough enough to enjoy the latter until I finished.

In short: Great day out
In full: What a great event ! Great fun , brilliant organisation around a great course . Denbies is an ideal setting for a run , and the surrounding area has some fantastic scenery . Drink stations were very well manned and had wine and lots of it for those that wanted ... Fancy dress just adds to the fun , and we even managed some singing on the way round :-)

In short: This marathon is designed to be FUN, and it surpassed itself.
In full: I ran in a blue tutu and embraced the FUN slant of this event, still managing a 03:48. Its a tough course slowly winding up from Dorking to Ranmore Common - then, after glimpses of the start/finish thru the trees the course plunges down for the last mile of each lap. All fairly runnable tho and on a good mix of terrain - after a night of rain I was glad I wore my trail shoes, some very muddy bits. It is a little pricey at £45, but on reflection I had a spectacular days run and everything went very smoothly. Brand new port-a-loo at start is just what you need when you're in a tutu!

In short: Well run, plenty of water stations and cheerful marshalls. I would certainly rcommend as a very good trail race.

In short: Great scenery and a nice little challenge
In full: Tough. Hills, mud and wind but the views made up for it. Finally gave in and tried some wine at the final water-point just to have an excuse for being slow. Bit pricey but would definately do it again.
