In short: Breathtaking scenery, nice course, one killing hill and please organisers: miles and kilometers are NOT the same thing!
In full: Lovely scenery! Only for that I'd do it again. We were very lucky with the weather, yes it was cold (it was January after all) but the sun was shining beautifully all along. I have to say I was dissapointed with the distance markers. You would think the organisers would know by know that Miles and Kilometers are not the same thing and yet they insisted in putting up markers that read "8 Miles/Km". What was that all about? Water stations were too few in my view but volunteers were really nice and friendly. The organisers have to make sure that the finish line is free of runners who are de-chiping please...

In short: Third time at this early season tester, always seemingly run on a cold and icy morning.

In short: A very good race that could easily be an excellent event with a little improvement
In full: This is a very good event that I sure brings in very good income for the club.
There is no doubt that it is a very good and challenging course with a good balance of hills. Some of the hills are a very good test on the legs
The course had marshals on each main point so there is no problems on this front.

To improve the race and make it a really truly excellent event both the parking and ratio of toilets must be looked at. Both had large queues and personally caused large delays before the event. With the narrow start and large field of 800+ starting pens based on estimated finishing times
would really help.

In short: This race is a good fitness tester for the start of the year
In full: This has got good organisation, a good undulating course with a mix of surfaces and traffic free. I do think the facilities - toilets, parking, changing, showers etc are fit to bursting with the popularity. Could be a bit busy and clubby for a lot.

In short: Excellent race and i really enjoyed myself.
In full: This was the first time i had run in this event and eventhough both the hills got the better of me I really enjoyed taking part. I thought the organisation was excellent and I liked the momento as it is pragmatic...I even got a ripe bannana as well. Many thanks Steve

In short: Excellent race, but....
In full: I really enjoyed the race and as my first 10mile (despite having done loads of other distances) I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Marshalls were really nice and the views were amazing.

However despite arriving at the school at 10am, in what I feel is plenty of time, the marshall informed me there was no parking left. I know the race info said to park in the local streets but it didn't say they were all restricted parking! Found a space eventually and got my chip no problems, but then joined the loo queue - 2 ladies loos are not enough for all those people so I (and at least another 11 other ladies) missed the start.

Apart from that all was good, but the logistical issues mean I will probably give it a miss next year. Starting a race wound up is not the best start :)

In short: 5th time around and I tamed Keepers Hill...
In full: Decided to run as I felt rather than clock watch each mile and after driving (not literally) up the hill at Mile 4 and Mile 7; I felt there was enough in the tank for the gentle downwards spiral towards the finish.... And Quelle Suprise.... A PB by nearly 40 seconds.....

Organisation and marshalling was fine.. Those complaining should just arrive a little earlier...

Water stations, Memento and Banana.. Just about spot on... Let's face it (All the previous medals you've won are in a box or cupboard unlooked at), and the last mug you got probably needs a damn good bleaching and as for people complaining about the ripeness of bananas....
Come On Guys.... It's not Tesco's Finest!!!!!

No complaints from me, so I guess I'll have less frownlines...

See you next year Invicta!!!!
