In short: Great mix of Dickensian town and country scenery
In full: My first competitiive race and thoroughly enjoyed it. Much better time than I expected and enjoyed running around a neighbourhood I used to live in, taking a trip down memory lane at the same time. A good mix of pleasant countryside flats with one or two challenging inclines thrown in just to keep you honest. Looking forward to returning and hopefully bettering my time here.

In short: Great course - great race - will be back next year!
In full: This was my first 10K race. I live locally so have done the course several times in training, but race day was harder than I expected. But I was really pleased as I ran quicker than I had hoped for! Definately will be doing it again next year!!!

In short: A great local race
In full: An undulating course with a cheeky little hill to knock the wind out of your sails at the 9k marker. Well marshalled and organised and Chip timed as well.

In short: Good Atmosphere, Very well organised and great support from the town of Corsham
In full: Lovely weather made today a great day in Corsham. Mental note for next year to get to the start line early as I got stuck at the back which slowed me down for about a mile. Band playing after the first half a mile which was a nice touch and throughout the run the marshalling was efficient.Although only 150 yards, the hill on the 9th KM proved to be a challenge for quite a few people including myself. The only criticism I have is that when you've finished the race you get given a goody back which is a flapjack, 10p sweet and 2 mint chocolates with a couple of leaflets wrapped in a Somerfield Shopping bag. You then get a choice of a tshirt or a mug which I thought was a nice touch. So I chose the Mug, walked away and read mug to realise it said April 2009 on it so promptly went back and swapped it for the t-shirt. Found that a bit dissapointing. Otherwise a fantastic event with great support from the locals and Im eagerly awaiting the results to be put up on the website. Ill be there next year. Oh, and I achieved my personal best. Bring on Exeter Half Marathon next week!

In short: A well organised and enjoyable run - thank you!
In full: This was the first time I have done this one and I really enjoyed it. Having trained hard, I took 6 mins off my PB which was a bonus. This is local for me and will definitely be back. The marshalls were really encouraging.
