In short: A truly enjoyable race.
In full: This was one of the nicest races I have ever run. It had a wonderful atmosphere from the very beginning, akin to local Parkruns, owing in part to its fairly small size and also to the excellent organisation.

The race follows the Thames tow path, and so whilst the signage was brilliantly executed at tricky corners, road crossings and bridge crossings, it did not impose on the scenery of the course. The course itself was not closed off from the public, and so some narrower parts of the path will see you dodging bicycles, dogs and walkers, but for the most part everyone is friendly enough.

The course is not exactly PB material, but it is such a beautiful route that it's totally worth running. And the organisation, though minimal, was so flawless that it transformed any racing stress into a delightful summer run.

In short: Fabulous scenery and a great race for first timers
In full: I really enjoyed the race, the scenery is unbeatable and it was well organised. The race suits those new to the half marathon as it is primarily non club runners. I have driven down from Ipswich to race so it definitely has a special quality to me.
The organisation could have been better at the start though, 10 toilets isn't enough and there were long queues, and it would have made sense to have 2 baggage vans as the 2nd wave runners put their bags on top of the first wave, and the first wave finished first!
I will definitely come back to Windsor and run it again

In short: Best Race This Year!
In full: I really enjoyed this race, it was very well organised, in a beautiful part of the country. Apart from a few bottlenecks at the start, it soon evened out and made for a really enjoyable run. I would highly recommend it to anyone, first timer to a half marathon or experienced runner
