In short: Fast and flat, but bring back the 2011 route, wasn't keen on doing 2 laps, psychologically more difficult seeing later race markers. Still enjoyable but preferred last years run.

In short: Fast, safe and scenic route, shame about the first mile
In full: Very fast scenic course, well supported by the public. Easy parking close to the start, but we could have done with more toilets! I ended up at the back of the starting pens which needed to have a longer funnel to the start line and access to the different time groups. The section through the town centre was very congested and I came to a stop at the now infamous A4 underpass. Having taken 2m:45s to cross the start line, my first mile took over 10 minutes, followed by 8:30 miles through great scenery with plenty of room to overtake thanks to the extensive road closures. However I was surprised to see so many ipods being worn, these are normally banned. Also it was hard to get enough water at the drinks stations. The results were online after 24 hours - it would be good to include the chip position as well as the gun position. My overall time of 1:54 was my fastest for twenty years, and I look forward to further improvements for next year - this has the potential to become a must-do race.

In short: well organised and very quick course
In full: First time I had done this one. Course is pancake flat and fast. Rarely seen so many marshalls at an event and they were excellent.

In short: Fast PB course
In full: Much much improved from the inaugural race last year. The rerouted course I thought worked well - although you run the same section twice, it doesn't quite feel like a 'lap'. As a front runner, I can't comment on the underpass bottleneck but cannot forsee how else they can safely deal with having to cross the busy Bath Road (A4).

The course is quick and flat and scenery on the route, although not breathtaking, is better than most. Marshalls were fantastic and supportive along the whole course and there was much more public support this year too.

Lack of goody bag and the same medal as last year (with different date) was a bit disappointing for the fee but guess most of it was spent on the road closures which were well organised and marshalled.

In short: Charming 'city' race-flat & fast!
In full: A good event, well-marshalled and the support around the course was excellent. The underpass congestion stopped me in my tracks but that may have been a good thing,as I was going off too fast anyway! A definite date for my diary for next year-well done PP
