In short: Well done I always worry about the traffic on this race but never seams to be an issue. A bit late arriving this year and very nearly missed the start so be careful and get to the school on time! A detonate return for me next January.

In short: Tough first half rewarded with fast second half!
In full: Dominated by club runners this out of town race was a total surprise!! Even though the first half was full of gradients running with the pack ensured I was running 'at pace'. With a marshall stationed at the 5 mile mark shouting out the time as we passed I was spurred on and had smashed my own 10k PB by the time I'd reached 6 miles!! From that point on the majority of the course was descending gradients so a PB for a 10 miler was inevitable.

Great organisation, great scenery (well, I would say that, I live in the inner city!) and a thoroughly enjoyable run that exceeded all expectations.

In full: Loved the race & thanks to organisers and marshalls for such a seamless event. Hills were nothing like as bad as I'd anticipated, and as someone shouted to me at halfway, the second half was kinder and quicker than the first. Final hill was tough but didn't last too long (thankfully). The race is great value and Thoroughly enjoyable. Hope to be back next year.

In short: Ran it since the 80s a classic race
In full: Ran this course many times and the race since the 80s. Always well organised, quick results, decent prize list and not rip off entry fee.
Great support, great marshal's, top grass roots race. Easy access, showers etc.

In short: Wold gold
In full: A great race. The 'half-up', 'half-down' combo worked well for me, though it might be nice to run it the other way around to get the encouagement of the Skidby locals in the last mile, and not have 'that hill' to worry about! Top race, great marshalling, I hope I'll be back.

In short: all good - as usual
In full: We were set off speedily and as usual there was good support in the villages and at various cross roads. Supportive marshals and loud encouragement on the final hill.
I allowed my self to be overtaken in the funnel which screwd up my position/time but the this was quickly sorted out for me.
Good quality long sleeved technical shirt.
Well done (again) City of Hull

In short: Brilliant race
In full: Travelled down from the borders for this run. I read initially it was quite hilly??? its fkat compared to where i run, A definite possibility of a new pb ( i took 2 minutes off my last 10 miler) very well organised and a fantastic atmosphere with marshals well spread out applauding and cheering runners on. Well done hull i,ll see you next year

In short: Delightful race for all abilities and very welcoming
In full: I ran this for the first time and was bit aprehensive because I am not that fast even without the hills (normally 10 minute-ish miles) but it was great. Just the right amount of challenge and largely in the first five miles. Friendly competitors and marshalls (normal for E. Yorks of course!) and excellent organisation including plenty of marshalls well-drilled in controlling road traffic. Good value especially as there is a good quality long sleeved running top at the end rather than a cheap t-shirt. A really uplifting day.
