In short: A race of two halves!
In full: First time this year for me and a PB! I didn't make use of the facilities at the nearby school and went straight to the start. A few cars still coming through right up to the start time but no real problems. A long climb out of Skidby to Little Weighton was a good test and certainly sorted the men from the boys. After that it was mostly flat with long straight sections and I was much quicker in the 2nd half. The sun even came out halfway round to brighten my mood.
Technical t-shirt at the finish is a good one and will get much wear.
All in all a good local event.

In short: Great way to start the year
In full: A bit of a walk to the start but helps you warm up,slightly disorganised start, didn't hear a gun? just saw people moving ahead! Plenty of hills in the 1st 5miles but running in a pack didn't really notice them. Plenty of encouragement from marshalls and spectators, tough hill to the finish, overall a nice variety and nothing too hard

In short: A flat calm day would be needed for a PB on this course. Distance from HQ to start isn't ideal, but nit-picking really. Cool t-shirt for finishers, encouaging locals & marshalls. Get there early enough to claim a parking space! p
