In short: Truly challenging for beginners but very rewarding In full: Even though this was my 2nd race ever and I found it more than a little testing, it was certainly worth it. The more experienced runners gave much needed support, as did the organisers and marshalls. Very rewarding, loved every minute (now it's over!!). I will certainly be doing it again. Parts of the course were unrunable especially the sand!!!!(horrible!)Not a race for the faint hearted the best bit was the last mile or so was able to run properly was able to enjoy that bit!! Glad it hadnt rained!!!!!

In short: Excellent marshals, friendly people, very very very muddy In full: The whole days rain the day before didn't help. A lot of this course is on bridlepaths/footpaths, ankle deep in places. In the summer, this is a lovely run but very muddy in Feb. No water left at the finish by the time I got back and I wasn't even last!!! Date of review: February 21, 2005
