In short: One of the nicest courses I've run.. In full: Lovely course, although sand bit was energy sapping and the heat was awful. I agree with the earlier comment that more water stations were needed but other than that very well run race that I will definitely return to do again. Date of review: June 19, 2006

In short: Truly challenging for beginners but very rewarding In full: Even though this was my 2nd race ever and found it more than a little testing, it was certainly worth it. The more experienced runners gave much needed support, as did the organisers and marshalls. Very rewarding, loved every minute (now it's over!!). Certainly do it again. Date of review: June 19, 2006

In short: A HARD BUT VERY SCENIC RACE In full: I enjoyed doing this race and thought that the marshalls did an excellent job of making sure everyone got around ok. The only really testing bit was the sand bit it saps all your energy. The only one major grumble was that there was only one drinks station and on a boiling hot afternoon you really need two. But apart from that a well organised event and I will certinaly be back for next year. Date of review: June 18, 2006

In short: Quite physically demanding, might put be off-putting for beginners In full: A tough race, the consensus among my fellow runners that it was as physically demanding as a reasonably flat half-marathon. Very enjoyable though and if you've put in the training miles, it shouldn't pose any real problems. Well marshalled, especially at the difficult (for the marshalls) road crossing beyond the golf course. Date of review: February 10, 2006
