In short: Terrific event, my 2nd half marathon, took 7 minutes off my PB, very friendly locals, excellent and encouraging marshalls, will def. do this one again as great prep for the VLM

In full: 3rd time I've done the event and must say I believe the change of route helped the atmosphere. Especially going twice downhill through the town centre.

In short: Amazing support from people and great overall organisation
In full: This was a great race as it had a great mix of running through town and also running in the country.

The support from the people who came to watch was amazing and made a huge difference to the atmsphere!

The organisation was brilliant and clear in terms of what you had to do and where you had to go.

This was a great race and one to remember for a long time!

In short: Running through the High Street, twice, was very special
In full: Good first half, and ending to the race. The countryside part was lethal though. Maybe because I was running with a dodgy back which pretty much marred the whole event....one part felt like a never-ending incline. But hey, it was good - maybe back next year if my back problem doesn't stop me running altogether....

In short: Excellent well organised and supported race
In full: Really enjoyed this race (and not just because of another PB). Support through town was excellent and very uplifting. Even that hill 1/2 mile from the end didn't dampen spirits as flying down the other side was a fun way to finish. Well organised and easy to get to and, importantly, away from after the race. Would recommend this event to anyone and will be back next year.

In short: Well organised, but tougher than it looks!
In full: Really well organised race. Congested start, but that probably can't be helped. Interesting through town, and then pretty through the countryside (save for when going over the M3!) A fair mix of speeds - speedy winners, but I came in at 2 hours 20, and there were still another 1000 behind me, so I didn't feel too bad. The organisers could have done without the bunch of minging male runners having a pee in the locals gardens though - there were loads of portaloos, so no need - and it just gives the rest of us runners a bad name!!

In short: Well organised and supported. New location of the start was an improvement, although some tight turns and a bit congested during the loop round the houses. Finish was well organised, with medals, water and bananas being given out.
