In short: I say "Wicked" RUNNERS WORLD say..... In full: “Outstandingâ€. I love this race with a passion. I always have.
There’s something unique about this race. Maybe it is the price of the race just eight quid – this makes a nice change, rather than me paying though my nose. Or maybe it is the choice of running either 15 miles or 21 miles on the day. Or maybe because it attracts RUNNERS from all over the WORLD I mean the UK. Or maybe simply because this is a good quality race with nice a medal. Whatever the reason is, I just love this race. I don’t need to promote this race because the race sells itself; actually this race sells out early every year. "Respect" to Brian Vine The Race Organiser.
Cranleigh 15/21 miles probably my second all-time favourite race; it always makes me feel emotional, happy and good. As for my legs it’s too painful to talk about them.
In this race I got the P factors, Passion, Pleasure and PAIN!
Well done, Brian. For such a “Wicked Raceâ€. In other words an Outstanding race. You're the man! Date of review: April 1, 2010

In short: A good solid event - a true bargin of an event. In full: Excellent event, challenging course but with the advantage of doing 15 or 21 miles. Bargin of an event. Water stations were well placed. Well done & many thanks to MABAC and to all those who helped put on this event esp those two at the jelly baby station. Many thanks. Date of review: April 1, 2010

In short: Super race yet again In full: Loved this race, 2nd year for me and it was worth the drive down from East Anglia. Hills weren't too bad, and I love the downhill finish!
Only criticism would be the traffic at the finish, coupled with the fact that to get water at the end you had to double back across the road again - so too many people milling around made it a crowded weave to get to the finish line. Not sure why they didn't have water beyond the finish line as there was plenty of room. Date of review: March 30, 2010

In full: This was my first 21mile race and I completed it in prep for the Brighton marathon and very enjoyable. Friendly runners, very well organised and it wasn't which is always a bonus. I especially liked the idea of having the option of either running 15miles or 21 miles on the day. The jelly babies and medal were an added bonus. Would enjoy doing this race again. In short: Absolutely splendid. Relaxed and very well-organised event with perfect weather In full: Seemingly like most other participants this was part of my prep for the London marathon and as such it was perfect. One could treat it as a lovely Sunday morning run that just happened to have a few hundred other people along for the ride - so I could relax into a comfortable pace and, every now and again get a little bit motivated and try to catch or keep pace with somebody a bit faster. Organisation was spot on and the no frills nature added to its charm. For £10 any kind of medal is a bonus and the oft praised "Jelly Baby Two" were worth the entry fee on their own. In short: Much more interesting than Worthing In full: The course caught me out a bit a few more undulations than expected but they were all gradual ups. Views & support around the course just average but good event & much better value & more interesting than Worthing which is usually on the same date Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: low key race in countryside, good marathon prep, good marshalling In full: 21.2 mile race excellent practice for spring marathoners. The hill at 16 and again at 21 miles a bit cruel but at least the race ended on downhill! Curious positioning of finish meant I didn't know where the end was but then I was all the more grateful when I turned the sharp corner to see it in front of me! And with the 15 mile option at least I could tell myself that the runners overtaking me were going for the shorter option! Date of review: March 29, 2010

In short: Good Marathon Prep In full: Nice race through countryside on tarmac roads. Thought there were quite a few undulations. Good marshalling, plenty of drink stations and good mile markers. Congested start running into oncomming traffic and busy finish too. If I was to be picky, I could say that the results could have been posted a bit quicker. Date of review: March 29, 2010
