In short: A cracking post-Christmas canter around the countryside
In full: What a great way to end the year. Lovely marshalls, the lady in the red coat at registration reminded me of my old headteacher (she was bossy too), a few puddles for those that hadn't had their fill of rainwater during the last week and great support at the finish from faster runners who had stayed behind for those of thus that had run slowly to admire the scenery and an adequate goody bag. I loved it. The band were good too.

In short: Fab race, very picturesque, great atmosphere
In full: I did this at the last minute as a way to run off those post-Christmas blues and what a great way to do it! Beautiful course, tough in places with the great big hill at 5K but you had to walk up that to get to start so you knew what was coming and the first half a K was fast downhill. Fantastically well organised and the most friendly organisers and marshals I have ever encountered. A great race and one to be highly recommended.

In short: Fourth time I have done this race and it is always enjoyable whatever the weather.
In full: Great day for running.I was not sure what was different about the course from last year although we approached the finish from a different way. Markers were a bit confusing but the starter did say they would count down for the 10k.Like a lot of races people are too busy talking to bother to listen.I would recommend this race to anybody who enjoys off road running as it is not too hard and the tracks are not too uneven.

In short: Good way to work off the excesses of Xmas & New Year!
In full: Apart from the distance markings, which didn't worry me as I use my Garmin, there were no real problems apart from getting a very muddy vehicle on the exit road :)

In short: Stunning scenery, well organised, good start to the New Year
In full: A very enjoyable race. A 2 lap course with one mildly challenging hill that seems a lot steeper on the second pass. The scenery was really stunning and the course is well surfaced even though off road.

Organisation generally very good with lots of marshals and only small possible improvements. The distance markers were a little confusing as someone else has said - the 5k and 10k markers look the same and certainly for the 10k indicate distance remaining. I was relying on my Garmin and the measurements did seem to be pretty accurate. Would certainly be good to colour code between the 5k and 10k markers if possible.

Water stop was quite easy to miss, but it was a cool day so didn't actually use it and some Marshals could have been a little more vocally supportive - it really does help in the latter stage of the race.

All in all though a really excellent race - thanks to all the organisers. A great way to feel a little better about all that Xmas excess - will be back next year.

In short: Great way to run off the Christmas cake
In full: I have done this numerous times. It is always good fun and mildly challenging. The only fault is the utterly confusing distance markers which no one can understand. They appeared all mixed up. Please put them in colour code for 5k and 10k and make it clear if it is distance left or distance done !
Other than that is always a well organised race
