In short: A great run, despite the weather
In full: This was the longest I have ever run, the weather was so bad, I had a little cry once I got to the seafront after 8 miles, but only because of the weather! Once I finished, I was very chuffed. It was a great day and I smile when I think about it. Bring on the next one.

In short: Great Occasion, shame about the weather
In full: Loved every minute of it, interesting route on the flat makes for good times, although this year, running the last two miles into the strong wind and rain certainly tested the majority of runners. Looking forward already to next year.

In short: Great race, excellent organisation - shame about the weather!
In full: Having started running earlier this year, needed to set some goals. This was my second event - ever! My first event was a Cancer Research UK 10k in September.

Travelled up on the morning of the race, and expected some traffic problems, but although slow moving, made our way easily onto the common. Organisation throughout seemed to run like clockwork, with friendly stewards/marshals.

Unfortuanetly I was in the green wave (not really knowing my likely time when I entered), but as soon as we set off, soon found myself passing many from the other waves!

Managed to get around in a time I was really happy with, and beating my 10k PB.

OK, the weather could have been better, but that makes me all the more determined to do even better next year! (with better weather!). I considered the £3 parking fee was well worth it - try parking all day for that in many places in Cornwall! Nice goody bag & medal - really had no expectations though as to what to find in it.

Yes, I'll be running this race again next year & it's certainly inspired me to take up running "properly", with entries already being made for some other races next year.

In short: The rain and wind made the last couple of miles a tad uncomfortable but the organisation and atmosphere were great.

In short: Fantastic. Really exhilarating.
In full: This was my second race. I did the Victory five also in Portsmouth last year. I ahd only run 8 miles once a few weeks before the race so was quite nervous but I loved every minute of it. The atmosphere was brilliant, crowd support was fantastic and great to have thumping music towards the finish. Personally I loved running through the naval base and along the sea wall wiht the waves crashing over it. I would definitely do it again and have signed up for a half marathon next year i enjoyed it so much. My only grip is getting stuck behind walkers and slow runners in the beginning.

In short: Great race which makes you want to push yourself!
In full: This was my 1st 10 miler & only my 2nd official race & I loved it. Had only previously run 9 miles max whilst training taking bout 80 mins, but completed this race in 78. The flat course & crowds really drive you on, only negative is having to pass people that started in the 1st wave, I will start in the 1st wave next yr to avoid this. RE the negative comments about the traffic,I arrived at 8,30 & parked in the center of pompey & didnt even try to get close to the car park near the start, prob had to wait about 20 mins at the end to leave & had to walk to teh car for 10 mins (great warm down) but that was it! So its not all that bad.
