In short: Great weather, fabulous organisation, thanks
In full: Pre race I'd heard much talk of the wind that would be whipping across the downs but in the end it was chilly but with some sunshine to raise the spirits. Can't say I exactly enjoyed it but haven't raced 10 miles for a couple of years so took 3 minutes off my pb to garnish the feeling of achievement at the end.

In short: They shoot horses don't they ?
In full: Set on the Epsom gallops, a two lap tester usually in the rain. Do you want to jog this year ? Well, do you, punk ?

In short: Great fun and two laps worked well
In full: We all converged at the top of of a hill for a startwith tumbling skies and good stiff breeze. Felt like a scene from Life of Brian, Blessed are the cheesemakers! Found myself raher uncharacteristicallyshouting encouragement to perfect strangers as we neared the end which rather neatly pushed three of us under 1hr 30mins. A splendid day at the races.

In short: Well worth getting out of bed for on a cold, wet extremely windy Sunday morning - and gloves were much appreciated!
In full: Great run for first timers - it has everything!

In short: Excellent race to start the new year
In full: Very popular race and deserves to be due to excellent organisation. Plenty of friendly marshalls, great HQ venue, baggage bus and challenging (muddy) conditions but not unexpected due to being described as Multiterrain. Found trail shoes very useful.

In short: think I've seen this hill somewhere before.....
In full: Comments much the same as previous runners, this was a challenging but very satisfying race. Must also thank Michael Green (544) who also spured me (accidently) onto a 1hr30 time. Only small whinge was the absence of a 2mile marker up the major hill which threw my beginners attempt at regular split times- I may simply have missed this in getting up the hill!

In short: Good race, great facilities, January weather.
In full: Good race, wasn't sure beforehand about the 2 lap format, but turned out fine and I went much quicker on the 2nd lap. Don't be put off by reports of hills, they are fairly long but never steep. Big benefit being able to use the jockeys changing facilities at Epsom. Organisation pretty slick and marshalls very friendly considering how cold they must have been. Weather pretty typical for Jan - gloves a nice touch, but would have prefered to have been given them before the race!

In short: Special thanks to Michael Green 544 who pushed me hard over the line to come in just under 1.30. Enjoyable day despite a keen breeze and leaden skies. First time in a proper club race, well done the organisers!

In short: Going was soft and the field bunched but an excellent start to the year. Top stewarding.
