In short: very well organised and very enjoyable
In full: this was my 2nd race of 2011 - the first being the knacker cracker the day before.

despite aching in all sorts of new places at the start, I was only 5 mins outside of my 10m PB.

very well organised, and definitely a race that I'll be coming to again and again

In full: Cant fault the organisers and the route is as challenging as ever. Ebbisham Lane was as difficult as ever nearly made it up twice this year without stopping. Marshalls as enthusiastic as ever. Great little run although my time does not show it ;-((

In short: Great way to start the year.
In full: An excellent way to burn off any festive gained pounds. A two lapped route on an undulating course but good feeling when finished. Another year & another excellent memento. Big thanks to the marshals out on the course & to Tadworth AC for another fine day. Roll on next year.

In short: Equine assault course
In full: Another great effort on the organisation front, simply cannot fault the organisers and love the route which is challenging. Special thanks to the marshalls, encouraging as ever. Slight wrinkle at the start, no countdown etc and horses were a slight problem but otherwise no grumbles whatsoever. Scratching my head a bit about the first timer who thought the race was a bit "dull"- what did she expect...to trip over buckingham palace on the way round or stagger through a misplaced Kew Gardens? The ordnance survey map and title of the race might have given a clue to its scenic potential. If you want picture postcard stuff go an do a fell race in Cumbria! Also when you've run a few mass participation events it makes the smaller club events seem so much better (which they generally are).

In short: A great race to start the year
In full: Very much a no-gimmicks 10 miler, over a surprisingly hilly but varied (woodland, country lanes, downland, suburban roads) course. Well organised as far as parking and all key aspects were concerned, very well marshalled. The two-lap format actually helped as you knew what was coming second time round. The weather, cool but not cold and reasonably dry under foot, was ideal.

In short: Never gets easier, always rewarding
In full: I was going to miss this, seeing as the last couple of years have been so cold, but joined in when it was clear that the temperature would at least stay positive. Glad I did - the atmosphere on the run was good, bits of encouragement from those working hard around me. It's a tough run, but no ice at least this year, and the variety of terrain keeps it interesting. My slowest time yet, but I'm sure it will spur me on to better things.

In short: Great way to kickstart the new year.
In full: Hillier than I remembered (isn't that always the case?). Loads of cheerful marshalls and and nice to get something at the end a little different from the usual medal/shapeless cotton T.

In short: 3rd Year at Tadworth
In full: This is always one of my years regular fixtures, but really struggled this year after having done a parkrun the morning before and half-marathon 7 days earlier.

The race was very well organised. My only gripe was at the start. The band were playing. I was going to get into position during the race announcement. Before I knew it, the race just started without notice. I was stuck at the back faced with a wall of the slowest runners. Then to make things worse was held up by the horseriders. I couldn't recover from running the first mile a minute slower than planned, and my normal rivals were streets ahead.

I love this race though. look forward to 2012.

In short: Really well organised race.......a great start to the New Year
In full: Organisation and marshalling fantastic at this race, a great start to the New Year's racing calendar.
Plenty of challenges in this race which makes it a tough one for a pb, but massively enjoyable.
