In short: Undulating is an understatement...!
In full: A lengthy but gradual climb from the off, for the first third of the run, makes the start quite steady going. The three further inclines are all much shorter but considerably steeper. Has a wonderful last mile that, if you've saved your legs, will be very quick.

The event was very well stewarded and ran like clockwork. Was well supported on the route and plenty of people at the finish. Support was especially impressive based on the size of the event.

Was really good value for money - £10 entry included a t-shirt and bottle of water at the finish. Hot food on offer and a clothing and shoes stall/area.

Only criticism was the lack of a water stop on the way round. However, this is a race well worth taking part in.

In short: Only my 2nd ever 10k and I managed a PB despite the hills
In full: Didn't realise just how hilly it was but it was a great challenge. A bit congested at the beginning and the end but nothing that held me up. Good organisation in general but the guy giving instructions at the beginning needs a megaphone to make himself heard over the crowd of chatty and excited runners.

In short: A grand day out courtesy of the Huddersfield Road Runners.
In full: A great and challenging course with three good hills (500-550ft of climbing altogether) but an easy going gentle downhill finish over the last mile. Definitely not one for setting records on but great for tuning up the legs for a faster course or longer distance perhaps. I enjoyed it, it was much more fun than going out and back a dual carriageway.

Race organisation was great, the race is well established. Food and running gear stalls at the start/finish. There was a T-Shirt, water and a sort of flapjacky thing for finishers, very welcome and tasty it was too.

In short: Brilliant race, if you like hills :)
In full: Some slightly punishing uphills, but very quick decents. Def worth entering if you like hills! Nice and cheap, well organised, good marshalling :)
