In short: Great scenery, Great puddles and Great fun.
In full: Mud and puddles made this interesting this year, if slower. Excellent break from the norm! Will be back for more.

In short: Turned into a long flat X Country race
In full: First half for many years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Conditions added on a few mins. but not really a problem. One suggestion-IPODDERS are a bit of a menace in these conditions-too narrow and can't hear runners behind. Well done Purple Patch!

In short: Too much mud and not enough overtaking.
In full: My first half marathon and I'd been looking forward to it for ages hoping to beat the 1h45 a friend set in the GNR on his first. I thought that with a much smaller event I'd have a decent chance, but if you can't over take without sprinting past people in the short gaps available and you've got to concentrate on your footing all the time then you've no chance of a PB.

I enjoyed it, but it's not my kind of run so I doub't I'd do it again.

In short: great day -shame about the wind and mud......
In full: however what do you expect for November? It could have been worse and rained as well!! This was my first half and I really enjoyed it. The organisation was great, the marshalls encouraging, people friendly and the route well signed. Well done to everyone for not falling in the canal!
