In short: fab race, will be back next year In full: well organised from start to finish, supportive marshalls which really helped when you're towards the back of the pack and it's hot. The only (minor) downside is that I decided against bringing the family because the out and back course looked difficult for them to get to (without a car) and there wouldn't be much to entertain them at HQ. In short: How come it's always so hot ? In full: So let me get this right. We have weeks of watery sunshine, clouds and rain and then twenty minutes before the race starts the temperature rockets to the high 20s. Someone at this race must have a hotline to the big fella in the sky because it's always hot. A great race with no bottleneck at the start, two water stops and a lady with a big spray to cool us all down. Nothing to fault this race though probably not a PB course today because of the heat. Am just glad I didn't suffer from sunstroke like I did last year as I made sure I rehydrated as much as possible straight afterwards. Well done Thame Runners for an excellent race. In short: Course is pretty flat and easy going for beginners. However it doesn't matter what the weather in the build up, this race is always scorching hot. Temps were 25-28 today. PB put on the back burner! Date of review: June 26, 2011
In short: A well organised race. Marshalls very supportive. The beating sun was a shock! In full: Timely race details received. Parking well organised and controlled. Water plentiful. Marshalls very supportive and cheery. Useful t-shirt and goody bag.
Hope to return next year.
