In short: Still as good as ever.
In full: 4th year on the trot for me and as still as good as ever. One of the best `village fete` events around. Excellent work Hook.

In short: Awesome as ever. Sets the benchmark
In full: Not much to add from previous years' comments. This run is excellently organised, nice course with a few bumps and a very fast last 3m. Great local event. All-in-all a brilliant event from start to finish. Only minor grip: the hedges and trees really needed a trim on the business park road this time to avoid running on the road. Will be back again next year and the year after. Top marks!

In short: Hard at times, fun none the less
In full: My first ever 10 mile, having only done 2 10k races before this and the first of them last October, this was somewhat a personal challange for me.

Really great race, off on time with no issues, collected number on the day without a hitch, plenty of parking within a short walk.

Course was different from flat to hilly (at times it felt like all hills!) but the support is great from local people and never get confused where you are going.

All in all a great race

In short: Great race for beginners and experienced runners alike
In full: I signed up for this as I live fairly local (Fleet) and thought it sounded like a nice community event. It is very well organised and you get a lovely medal at the end. Marshalls helpful and friendly and plenty of water. You use the loos in the school which is interesting - very low partition walls :) I was the 4th lady in so was delighted with my placing; it's a fairly flat course with a couple of gentle slopes but nothing too frightening. Definitely worth the money and I will return to do the 10 mile option next year.

In short: Excellent organisation, bit of a tough hill!
In full: Did the 6 miles, my first event in Hook. The organisation was brilliant, lots of marshalls and everything ran on time. Plenty of water stops which was good. Also a nice medal at the end!

The course, I found to be tough, think i was having a bad day, really struggled with the first three miles, the hill you do twice didn't agree with me! Not as scenic around the industrial state but went through a nice shady wooded road.

Also loved the fact that my name was announced as I ran down the last 100m - definitely pushed me to run that extra bit faster!

In short: Fantastic friendly well organised race!
In full: This was my first Hook race after being recommended by a few friends and I wasn't disappointed. A lovely scenic undulating course without the crowds of runners to push through at the start like some of the big races. The course was superbly marshalled and the event ran like clockwork. A superb race that I'd recommend to anyone - and a PB to boot! Thank you to the organisers - a job very well done!

In short: Small friendly race, nice atmosphere.
In full: I ran the 6 mile event. Quite a small number of runners compared to other events meant easy parking, short loo queues and a relaxed start!

My only criticism is that I had to fight my way past people doing the 2.5 mile fun run at about 4 miles who seemed to be blocking the paths in places.
