In short: Beautiful countryside, well organised, just hard enough!
In full: What a lovely race! Really nice scenery, and very varied, from roads across heaths with New Forest ponies frolicking, to country paths. Loads of marshalls (thankyou!), and a nice bit of extra support from walkers and families in the forest (who look a bit surprised at 1000 runners bearing down on them!). I loved the finish line commentary guy, who kept saying 'come on, cheer them home, they've all done the same 10 miles you know! How true! Worth starting out a bit slow and keeping something for the undulations in the later miles - not hills, but they can sap your energy. Weather this year was perfect for running - not too sunny, no rain, hardly any wind - just right. This is my first time at this race and I will definitely be back.

In short: Excellent in all aspects
In full: This is a very friendly race with excellent organisation resulting in abundance of marshals who give encouragement all the way.
This year was much better due to the earlier start time which resulted in a cooler run but still hot enough for all the supporters.
Horse brass awards to all finishers is a great idea. Keep doing it as I have 8 now.

In short: Great day out.
In full: This was great for me as I used to cycle to lots of the places I ran past, when I was a kid. Those were the days...

In short: It's worth it for the Horse Brass!
In full: Didn't do this last year but really struggled two years ago in 31 degree heat. This year was much better and despite taking it relatively easy I managed a negative split and a PB!
