In short: Bracing Winter race along the coast In full: I echo Neil's thanks to the organisers and marshalls for putting on another great race. Thanet Road Runners put on a range of excellent races over varying distances and terrain throughout the year and deserve great credit for their contribution to the Kent road race scene.
Like any mid-Winter race, you have to take whatever the weather throws at you but we were lucky this year.
It's a well-organised, friendly and fast "no frills" race with plenty of parking right next to race HQ and I also liked the memento this year - something different and very useful.
I agree that the one thing the organisers need to look at is maybe providing some portaloos either at HQ and/or near the start. Although there are public toilets along the seafront, most of them are closed at this time of year and coupled with the limited facilities in the pavilion, that was a problem.
Other than that, an excellent way to finish off the racing year. Date of review: December 7, 2011

In short: Very well organised race. In full: Let me start by saying thank you for to Thanet for organising a great race. We should all remember that a lot of people are giving up freetime to make these event available. Very well organised race. Fairly flat so PB potential depending on weather. This year we had a bit of head wind on the return leg but half our club got PB's! Only negative comment would be number of toilets avaiable, could definately do with some more. Thank you Thanet RR. In short: you can keep yer Costa Brava In full: Haven't run this race in a few years and got a 10 minute pb so am very happy. A helpful wind for the first 5 and then a playful challenge running into it on the way back
Loos were a little lacking, that would be my only negative. Organisation was very good, flask was appreciated, parking right next to the clubhouse was fantastic so i didn't have a long trudge back after the race to my car and it was a dry day, fab Date of review: December 5, 2011

In short: Great run, lovely scenery and definate PB potential In full: A great race that is always well organised. Minor changes to the start and finish of the race this year. I am not totally convinced on the up hill finish across the grass but that didn't stop me getting a PB so can't grumble too much. Well worth the trip! Date of review: December 5, 2011

In short: Great race a bit windy on the return run In full: Great race well organised there was plenty of parking and the course was mostly flat. The wind was in your back on the way out and in your face for the last 2 miles. The finish was up a hill to the race HQ which I found great there was a medal and a hot mug thing at the end of the race handy for the cups of coffee at the bar I got a PB so I'm happy :) Date of review: December 4, 2011

In short: Lovely mug at the end with a Medal...first time I have run this in dry conditions :) In full: I think the organisers need to consider getting some port a loos......only 2 out of 3 loos working in the ladies this meant long queues for those of us who had a long journey to get to thanet. The race was great as it was the first time I have run this without there being awful wet weather....was near the back but didn't feel under any pressure thanks to all the front runners who said well done to me ....where were the jelly babies this year??.....thank you to all the marshalls who gave up their morning.
