In short: Nice December Blast In full: First time even though it is on my door step, it was a little windy but it did not really hamper things too much. Really enjoyed it, marshals where great, they must have been freezing but always had a smile and a word of encouragement. Would highly recommend it, will be doing it again next year hopefully. In short: Really impressed by the organisation and support, in fact the whole package. A great event for all levels. Details below. In full: A note of thanks to Thanet Road Runners and all the members on the 10 mile course yesterday. Really impressed by the organisation and support, in fact the whole package. Race headquarters in a large warm Pavilion with food and drink available. Coastal path course predominantly flat and fast, much of it along the water’s edge. Well marshaled. Excellent support. Even the quality of the medal and T Shirt were impressive. Drink bottle & banana in the good bag. A great event for all levels. Date of review: December 4, 2012

In short: A well oiled machine In full: A very well organised race with a good crowd and great marshalls. It wasn't until the 5 mile turn that I realised why I had run so fast going out. The wind was ferocious coming back, but a great challenge. Very enjoyable and satisfying. I like the last little uphill challenge at the end. Well done to the Thanet RR AC and the Race Director for putting on a good show. Date of review: December 4, 2012

In short: Will Be Back Next Year In full: Thanks to all the marshals, standing in the cold for hours. Even though I drove from Dover I found the direction signs to the event a great help. Don't know about the view though, all those expensive windmills standing there doing nothing even though the wind was blowing. Great end to the race with a quick sprint up the 'grassy knoll'. Apart from chilly patellae I enjoyed the whole event and will be back next year. Date of review: December 3, 2012

In short: Suprising value for money In full: I didnt expect that much from this event having booked only a week and a half before. I was pretty desperate to find one last event to try before christmas. So was amazed at how well the day went.
From the start parking was easily the least hassle Ive ever had from an event. Westgate is full of space. Turning up 45 minutes before the start I was happy to find a place only a couple of hundred metres from race hq. HQ was well organised and led the runners to the start line in time for the race. The race itself was flat and fast. I really enjoyed running along the coastline through Westgate and Margate (apart from the cold December breeze). It was pretty fast and only slowed by the strong wind. I cant fault the event T-shirt or medal at the end either. Both great value!
If I had anything critical to say at all I'd ask them to add timing chips and give the marshall on start line a bigger megaphone. I couldnt hear him at all.
Overall a great event! A must do Kent event! Date of review: December 3, 2012
