In short: Great off-road run with a few mild hills set in beautiful scenery.
In full: Warm and friendly atmosphere inviting you into that running spirit. The organisation seemed slick and faultless. Marshalls and spectators gave plenty of support and encouragement throughout the race. Decent goodie bag to finish - especially the free hot drink from the cafe.

The only negative (I think somebody else has mentioned) was the run-off at the finish. You crossed the line and the medal was around your neck in 3 steps. Not much room if you're on a sprint finish.

Definately recommend to friends and will be doing again next year.

In short: Enjoyale yet challenging
In full: multi-terrain course in a glorious setting. A few hills but nothing that will kill you! Nice cross country style course, so if your looking for something a little diferent this is it. Not many club runners there so good for beginners.

i was not convinced by the distance markers though, my kilometer splits were all over the place, and if you don't concentrate it is possible to go wrong

In short: Very pretty course with some challenging hills - up and down!
In full: Arrived at approx 09:15 for a 10:30 start, and the race number desk wasnt quite ready (my only slightly negative point!)... perhaps I'm just too keen!

I actually found the downhill section in the 1st and 6th km tougher than the uphill at 4th and 9th... those tree roots could easily catch you out! Went out rather quicker than planned, but found someone doing a sensible pace, and followed him for the next 7k!

Suggestions - Marshals were a little on the quiet side, and could have done with a longer run-off area behind the finish line - a sprint finish with only about 4 or 5 meters to stop before being presented with your medal was a touch short!

All in all, a fantastic race, and I'll almost certainly be back next year!
