In short: Small but perfectly formed
In full: A really excellent race - smooth and very friendly organisation. The course made really good use of the woods and was challenging but not unreasonably hilly or muddy. The two lap format was actually a bonus as you could anticipate what was coming up. Parking and course limitations mean that this will always be a small low-key event but it's all the better for that. Also, excellent value - the race itself would be good value for the entry fee, let alone the T-short, mars bar, hot drink and medal.

In short: Extremely friendly, well organised and great value
In full: This is one of many off-road races that I've done in the past few years and Burnham 10k is definitely the friendliest and one of the most well organised. The scenery is beautiful and the course is challenging without being too 'extreme'. The goody bag at the end with a t-shirt (that actually fits!) a medal, a mars bar and voucher for a free cuppa just rounds off a great race. I'll definiely run it again.

In full: Third time my sister and I have run this race. We just love the scenery, the course and friendliness of this run. Our only disappointment was that we didn't know we had a complimentary drinks voucher in our goodie bag! Not a big deal, as the hot chocolate was so delicious we were more than happy to pay, but thought someone might have mentioned it, or it could have been on the top of bag not underneath the tee shirt. Def back next year tho! Thanks for great event.

In short: The charm of this race is its location and local, simple feel.
In full: Great course, good support from the marshals. A few issues with people getting lost, but otherwise a great local off road event. It would spoil if it got any bigger but I will keep coming back.

In short: Fun in the woods
In full: A good, challenging but not lung-ripping course, with some hills and time for recovery in between. Well organised plus a medal and t-shirt at the end.

In short: A nice jog in the woods
In full: Gorgeous setting, with the beeches all in their autumnal colours. Nice little low-key event, this one: turn up, get your number and run. The friendly and helpful staff and slightly shambolic atmosphere all add to the charm. Haven't done this one for a few years so good to rediscover it and will try to do it again.
