In full: This was my first ever race and I would definitely recommend it to anyone attempting their first half marathon. It was such a lovely sunny day with a bit of a breeze, which made this race very pleasant. Only thing to keep in mind is that about mile 1 there is a bit of a hill, but after that it's very flat. For my first ever race, I was surprised how well I did as I completed the race in 1hr 46 mins!

In full: Really enjoyed my first race .. Hill at start was a bit of a killer but after that nice and flat :-) with nice views across sea .. Marshalls were friendly and lots of support while way round :-)particularly enjoyed the band at boscombe pier .... Wil def run again and absolutely smashed my average pace over a 3 mile longer run . Def recommend for beginners

In short: Great seafront run. Great views. Definite PBer
In full: Perfect weather, ideal course for PB with only two hills (one taking the steam out of your sails in first mile). Amazing views.

Race start was again congested but better than last year with the hill sorting out those who opt for an ambitious start place. I still wonder if they could work out the finish line better so it doesn't completely block the main pier thoroughfare.

This really is a lovely run but don't expect mass support (except by both piers). It gets quite quiet in Southbourne and if you've separated from other runners, it feels like a training run around a suburb.

I keep coming back for this one. It is excellent.
