In short: What running is all about
In full: Spring time running in the countryside. Lovely course with enough hills to keep you working but not take it out of you too much. Weather was perfect this year too.

Pity some runners had to spoil it and upset locals by peeing in public. It seems some people have to be told how to behave in public.

In short: Nice course and good organisation
In full: Well done and thanks to all at Gloucester AC for putting on a good race. Nice scenic and undulating course that wasn't too tough, and thankfully the wind wasn't as bad as expected.

In short: first ever 20 mile run
In full: the organasion was fine but for us slow ones at the back the last 3 miles were compleatly on our own if there had been a problem we would have been stranded untill the sweeper court us up. if there was one. was good training for london though. i did not see any unhappy locals only one lady who came out of her house to ask what was going on then said we must all be mad. dont think i will do it again i dont like more than half marathon distance but works well for london prep and that is a one of thing for me! was very pleased to think that i did it thought.

In short: Weather conditions made for a quicker and more pleasant run this year
In full: Didn't make the last 3 miles any easier though. Very pleased to have shaved b9 minutes off last year's time. Good marshalling. It was quite a warm day and I had to stop to take enough water to get me to the next station without getting dehydrated. I had no problem with cars but could see from body language it was something of an irritant for locals trying to go about normal Sunday morning business. A local was remonstrating with the registration desk about runners urinating near a kid's playground and a runner berated for wearing an MP3 player prior to start.

Still a great prep for London.

In short: Not bad at all!
In full: Perfect weather, lovely scenery! Sorry to hear that some people had some trouble with the locals, didn't experience that myself. I knocked 10 mins 43 seconds off my 2006 time so I was chuffed! My friends and I even considered driving up from Sodbury to do one of our Sunday LSRs up there!

In short: Impressive
In full: Excellent training race for the FLM and pretty hard to fault really. Route was scenic and generally flat (although the few hills seemed to get steeper on the second lap..), well organised and suitably challenging. Thanks to the friendly marshals and others, personally I found the stroppy woman mentioned by another runner to be quite amusing as she berated all and sundry at the start like a group of naughty schoolkids. Nice t shirt too, makes a change not to be walking around like a billboard.

In short: Worth it just for the t - shirt
In full: Very glad I did this, the right distance at the right time (before London).
The t-shirt from this race is the best ever - nice design, no ads, something I will be proud to wear.
Great parking facilities, altho I felt like I had nearly done 20 miles walking to and from the car park to HQ & start etc.
Its the 3rd race on the course this year which might explain the organisers concerns about the residents.
If all the marshalling points had a bin (and runners were told this), there might be less need for people to chuck their bottles and gel wrappers by the roadside or into fields.
Looking forward to next time!

In short: Exceeded expectations
In full: Injured last weekend so everyone (including me) said "take it easy". I planned on an easy sub 3.00 and manged sub 2.4o.
I thought it was a good course and the runner who remarked about the "rules". One of them was don't use the start area as a toilet- hadly unreasonable!
Some cars were taking it a bit quick around the lanes but it was good to slow tractors and horse boxes down - and I kept to the left throughout!
Well done Glos AC

In full: Should be please by this race as it was a pb, but left feeling that i wish i'd gone somewhere else. Stroppy Woman at race HQ and some strange runners trying to take on the motorist!! odd really.
