In short: When you arrive you'll think you're mad, when you hit the first puddle you'll know it! But you are surrounded by other nutters so you feel ok. Great atmosphere!

In short: Knock that one of the list ....
In full: ..... but wouldn't do it again! Probably doesn't help that we did it on Sunday in terrible conditions. My shoulders are far stiffer than my legs just from shivering! Fantastic marshalls, good t-shirt and a good laugh but quite happy to say "been there done that and got the t-shirt".

In short: A straightforward muddy jaunt.
In full: I'm more pleased now that I've read the comments about the course being almost 9 miles long & the inaccuracy of the mile markers. Plenty of mud in the first few miles and then a few miles of forest road before the final onslaught. If the mud was spread more evenly along the route this would be a big improvement. Otherwise it was very enjoyable for me as a runner but, judging from the squeals of delight coming from the main pack, more so for the real fun runners. Maybe I should lighten up and not push so hard next time, then I can enjoy the scenery and the mud more! I was certainly knackered that evening.

In short: 3rd Time's the charm
In full: My third grim, and probably the nicest weather yet (on Saturday), though it seems to have been charmed each time I've run it. Great puddles to jump in, and a great atmosphere. Recommend.
