In short: A well organised race; yes, who put that hill there?
In full: A lovely feel to this race; well organised, friendly atmosphere. Pity the hill at 8K wasn't so friendly! But an occasional challenge is welcome and the rest of the course is such a pleasure, along very quiet country lanes, almost traffic-free!
Will definitely be back for more- may even up my distance to 10 miles for October?

In short: Who put that hill there?
In full: So toodling along with a 30 sec PB in sight...then along came the hill at 8k and ended up 30 secs out. The race itself not far off perfect, small improvements could be: directions tweaked to mention that one way stretch after AWE, several people in the carpark couldn't find the registration and then finding the start in the housing estate was a small challenge too. But overall a really good value race on a well marshalled rural course that asks a question or two near the end. Be back next year for sure.

In short: Great race, very friendly and a nice course
In full: As a lot of people mentioned was a very hot day but thoroughly enjoyed the course. (apart from getting stitch and having to stop which ruined my time - am not eating porridge 2 hours before again!!) Nice t-shirt, a great price, well marshalled. Great day

In short: Good race but hard work in the humid weather
In full: Some confusion over where the start line was - some people, including myself, were waiting at the fun run start at first. However, once going, organisation ran smoothly - plenty of helpful marshals, two water stops (I poured the water over my head - best way of cooling down in the humidity. Relatively flat course - only half the ascent of the Ropley 10k, but I went out too fast and got a slower overall time than at Ropley. Decent quality t-shirt at the end, and a Mars bar that my 11 year old son ate!

In short: A lovely morning run, great organisation, festive atmosphere
In full: Very suitable for beginners and challenging enough (especially that hill at 8km!) to give experienced runners a sweat. Extremely well marshaled course and smoothly run overall. Finish line features a real family atmosphere. Special for us personally because my daughter, 17, ran a PR at 49:06 and still had gas in her tank at the finish!

In short: From a first timer: thaks - a great day out
In full: I was told that this is a good race, and I was not disapointed. This is what local weekend racing is all about, and if you want to make that transition from the "novelty event 20,000 runner circus" to a proper race, you could do a lot worse than come to Tadley. Great atmosphere, great course.

In short: Welcoming well organised race in undulating countryside with a short steep hill at 8km to test you!
In full: An undulating course through rural Hampshire lanes with very little traffic. One short sharp shock of a hill just past 8km point but thoughfully with drinks at the top to cool you down. Not really a course for a PB - although I was less than a minute behind mine! Beginners may want to walk in places but there is no shame in that!Very well organised with friendly smiling marshalls and organisers. Good clean facilities for changing / showers - other race organisers please note! Not a huge field at about 200 racers but big enough to make it feel like an event rather than a trianing session. Not too big to make it feel like a circus! This is the first time I have done this race and I will do it again - very well done Tadley Runners!
