In short: Very hot day, but the race course, particularly the final few miles round pavements, and parked cars was pretty ordinary at best - Start time at 9 30 almost impossible to reach by London on the train - Ran all the way off the first train

In short: very tough start up a very steep hill and then undulating through countryside and housing estates, well supported on route
