In short: I forgot how hard this race is! In full: Rememberance Sunday. A poinient start with the last post, a firework salute and all competitors wearing poppies. Very much a feel good run...once you've finished! Prefered last year's course though. Date of review: January 20, 2009

In short: Anyone for a wallow?? In full: Don't believe anything they tell you about this race - it's ten times worse than you could imagine but a hundred times more fun than you imagine anything like that could be!
Very touching at the start with the 2 mins silence and the Last Post. Everyone wearing a poppy.
I'd seen the photos but nothing prepared me for the reality of the mud, the water, the mud and .... more mud! And the water .... cold ... very cold ... and you just don't want to think what may lurk beneath!
I was beginning to really embrace the concept and replace my grimace with a grin when I had one tumble too many and had to be carted off with a twisted ankle :-(
I'll be back next year ... it takes a lot more than an bit of English mud to beat this Celt. Date of review: November 11, 2008
