In short: Well organised, great relaxed atmosphere, a lovely (muddy) route with the effort rewarded by a medal and perhaps more so the mulled wine and mince pie(s!) - top rehydration/recovery fuel :-) Date of review: January 19, 2012

In short: Great way to end the year, deserved New Years Eve celebrations after this! In full: Friendly, well organised and great marshalls. As others have mentioned, the only downside was the lack of toilets. Really good personalised medal at the end, and the mince pies, flapjack and mulled wine were delicious! In short: Great route, great mud and luckily sunshine! In full: Could have done with some more toilets. Well organised race with welcoming organisers. The route was really good - ups, downs, mud, water, bit of road, field, woods. Date of review: January 11, 2012

In short: Really enjoyable run - it's meant to be muddy as this time of year! In full: A very friendly new event, well organised and fun. Glad i wore my trail shoes as there was some serious mud out there, with a couple of pleasant road stretches to make it fair though. Lovely course with a bit of everything. I'm normally not too fussed by goody bags, most of it gets thrown away, but this one was actually very good, and a top medal as well. Mince Pies at the end too - what's not to like?! Can't wait for next time. Date of review: January 11, 2012

In short: Great addition to the local calendar In full: Parking was within 50m of the race hq, so along with easy number pick up, a pretty short toilet queue when i was there and somewhere to grab a coffee, this was as hassle free as it gets. Really friendly and low key atmosphere before the race too. The course was a genuine mixture of country lanes to recover on, a few hills and plenty of mud; it was perfect! As others have mentioned the marshals were fantastic and really supportive and the drinks stations were brilliant. The medal and goody bag at the finish were a real bonus; i didn't know we were getting a goody bag, so the drink & voucher for the running shop were most welcome. Great medal too - never had one with my name on before! Mulled wine was a nice touch too. Thumbs up all around, it's in the diary already for next time. Date of review: January 7, 2012
