In short: Very well organised, friendly, scenic and atmospheric. In full: Being an absolute beginner, this was my first 10k motivated by raising funds for SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health)in loving memory of Leigh Smith, much missed daughter of Jacque Smith. Thoughts of Leigh and Jacque spurned me on during training these past three months and on the day itself. The race was well organised, communication in the run up to it frequent, email enquiries answered promptly and all went without a hitch on the day. A great day and the experienced runners called out words of encouragement to us newbies as they ran by...that was lovely. Big congratulations on a wonderful event. Date of review: April 29, 2013
