In short: Fantastic community event for all abilities In full: Brilliant support from everyone - helpers, marshalls, sponsors and spectators. What a day! This is a tough race but so welcoming to beginners like me. Date of review: May 2, 2008
In short: A brilliantly executed 10K race, by and with villagers and warmly welcomed guests! From registration to finish line and bath time - a simply memorable run. The challenging hills confirmed the ability of all the starting runners to finish smile intact In full: This is a special and unique race that only the runner can fully embrace and appreciate. The organisers could be snapped up by Flora, so we are thankful they live close by. The community were out in force to support native and visitor alike with unrelenting voice. Balfron should be well proud of it's proof two years running that they are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to 10K events for either the novice or more experienced runner needing the training to improve on their PB for the next 10K to come. The chips and start and finish were an improvement on last year and the generosity of the goodie bags appreciated. Design, quality and fit of the T-shirt the best yet. Well done Balfron - here's to being the best in Scotland - you are in my books! Date of review: May 2, 2008
In short: Great race, beautiful scenery, challenging hills but really enjoyable In full: Really well oragnised. great atmosphere with lots of local support. In short: Fun, Friendly, well organised with Great Scenery In full: A fantastic day, a well organised race with a great friendly supportive atmosphere. The hills (and there seem to be a lot of them) make the race very challenging but this just adds to the fun.
Will definitely do this again next year!!! Date of review: April 28, 2008
In short: First class event. Well done Balfron In full: This is a fantastic little race. Ok the hills make a PB a real challenge, that is more than compensated for by the perfect organisation, the friendly atmosphere and the thoughtful touches. Segments of orange on a warm day were very welcome, the organisers had clearly listened to last year's feedback and changed both the start and finish arrangements and introduced chip timing and the marchals on the course and at the water stations were determined to help you enjoy a great day out. Fantastic! Date of review: April 28, 2008
In short: Top class, professionally organised event In full: Really enjoyed the whole event. Run was scenic and hilly, save energy for second half! The event was seamlessly organised, timing chips were great. Very welcoming atmosphere and good facilities. My only personal slight fault was the water stations were at the start of climbs and I didn't have the puff to drink much. Excellent event, hope to be back next year. Date of review: April 28, 2008
