In short: Very enjoyable run, even in the heat. In full: I only did the half-marathon, rather than the full 3-day challenge, but was really impressed with the race. Very well organised, friendly, great marshalling, plenty of water, and a lovely rural route. Would certainly recommend, but next time I'd probably wear trail running shoes. In short: Colworth marathon challenge - Well organised event with great atmosphere In full: Recommended event, organisation was brilliant; enough toilets, lovely camping area, bar and plenty of food and ice cream on sale, plenty of parking, scenic course, entertainment for children on day 1, great camaraderie between the competitors, volunteers and Marshalls were excellent, enjoyable presentation, f1 was on in the bar, free Lipton ice tea and great mementos.
My only small moans to a very well organised event is that I liked the tshirt given on day 2 and would have liked one that fit. I feel there should have been more small tshirts. most people who did the event were not large or extra large. The medium top I got was most definetly more like a large. I am a size 14 and bigger in my middle area and it is a tent on me.
The course is very scenic and this is positive however I feel competitors should be more aware of how prone you are to injury on day 2. I feel a reasonable amount people obtained ankle twisting injuries (people were talking about them) including both myself and my husband due to the uneven surface for most of the run. I have had an ankle injury before and it put me out of running for some months.
Thank you for organising an enjoyable event. Date of review: June 22, 2014
In short: This is how a race weekend shold be no gimmicks just good fun racing In full: Despite this being my first try and not finishing due to an injury on Sunday have never felt so disappointed not to finish something it's that good. This is what running is all about, every body having fun and competition at what ever level. No fancy gimmicks just good extremely well organised no thrills fun. Friendly runners, organisers, marshalls and volunteers. 3 challenging courses which test all abilities. A must do Date of review: June 24, 2013

In short: A Fantastic Atmosphere! In full: Having just completed this race for the first time, the Colworth Marathon Challenge has sailed to the top of my all time favourite races! I found the atmosphere between everyone absolutely fantastic. This was highlighted on the final day where, having picked up knee problem at mile 12! I was encouraged over the line by the marshal's support, as well as, a finished runner who ran with me over the final 300 (top lad!). The organisation of the event was excellent and the course was exciting and challenging (particularly Saturday!)I couldn't recommend this event anymore; decent prizes, plus all you can drink ice tea! I can't wait to enter next year! Date of review: June 23, 2013
