In short: Excellent race in good settings In full: Had a good time on the day (only did the half), lots of water stations which were very much appreciated. I'd recommend to the organisers that they put some more effort into the website, ie include course maps and other details.. Date of review: June 27, 2009
In short: Need to remember that not everybody has been before and perhaps signpost the simple thingss In full: The race is well organised and very family friendly. Everything you need is well catered for including free drinks etc. Only real criterism was the fact that as a newbie the organisation was geared towards those who had been before and certain simple things were on "the same as last time basis". A nice touch though was being told were I had finished in the man and dog race as I crossed the line. That and extremely friendly marshalls and fellow runners made for a great nights race and entertainment. Date of review: June 24, 2009
In short: Much more than just running...... In full: This is a great social weekend with bouncy castles, face-painting, bbqs, camping, beer and loads of laughs. Occasionally, a running race interrupts the festivities. Great organisation. Great value for money. Great fun! Date of review: June 23, 2009
In short: Hilly course, well organised and friendly atmosphere In full: Quite a hilly course due the fact that its mainly through farmers fields, plenty of water stations-although offered plastic cups which i find difficult to drink from whilst running. Friendly marshalls throughout the course and relatively small event-which is nice if you dont like running in crowds. Prize for finshers was a coaster-which i thought was a little strange?!
Although its was fairly clubby, i didnt feel out of place not being part of a club.
Would take part again next year. Date of review: June 22, 2009
