In short: Very tough 6 mile race
In full: It was the hardest 6 mile race I have done, but I really enjoyed the challenge. The atmosphere coming into the finish was brilliant!

In short: perfect 6 mile circuit
In full: Hated it last time loved it this time. To have a race within 2 miles of my house is quite novel. This ones perfect. Runners of a high standard mingle with us also rans and run a loop that climbs and dips like a roller-coaster.A good test of fitness and discipline. If you go to fast at the start you may be blowing bubbles up the gradual but relentless climb after four miles. Well organised but the course is the best feature of this race. Everyone should try and nail it at least once.

In short: A challenging but enjoyable race + cake at the end
In full: On finding out this was a hilly race only 2 days before, I was a little apprehensive, but then again where I run I can't avoid undulating terrain.
This seemed a very clubby race (admittedly I was with my club too), and a fairly small field, so again apprehensive at being at the back of the pack.
Well, to sum up, yes it was a tough race, and don't think I've ever run down hills so steep, though uphills were ok, and the last half mile is a very quick downhill. My legs felt like they were running away from me, but WHAT A FINISH! Lots of cheering from everyone, and being able to run so quick into the finish (not like some where you can see the finish but it never seems to get closer).
Best of all was getting a new PB by nearly 6mins was great.
Cheap race but free cake would be a nice touch.

In short: stunning scenery, challenging hills, friendly reception
In full: Will absolutely enter again next year, the last 300m are a fast down hill into a large well supporting crowd. Loved it !!
