In short: Good as ever...
In full: As ever, a cheerful seasonal run. A great venue too. Mice pies and mulled wine available in the warmth straight after the race, which is hard to beat. The course is a good reminder for me to keep up my hill-work!

In short: Mud & Xmas puds & mud & mince pies & mud - superb fun
In full: Having started this first year of running with a nice works event it seemed appropriate to end it with another event by the same organisers and what a treat. The course had to be shortened a bit because of the mud from the recent storms but who cares, 2 laps of glorious scenery, a short and nasty climb and a brilliantly absurd descent down a muddy hill the other side made this challenging but hugely enjoyable.

The organisation was very slick, the marshalls were encouraging and accurate in their directions and the value for money was brilliant when you consider a Xmas pud, an original medal, a mince pie and mulled wine were waiting for you at the end.

I can't wait for next years event - very uplifting! And muddy.

In short: A good way to start the festive season
In full: Their were a lot of club runners here taking it very seriously, and a fair amount of people in Christmas fancy dress. A steep hill at the start and at mile 3, and a muddy downhill section. Only negative was the water station that didnt seem very well manned. Overall very good value for money and lots of goodies at the end, although why the medal says "kent"on it is beyond me. would definitely do it again.

In short: Value for Money
In full: The secenery in this two lap race is lovely, but be warned -there is a winding hill at mile 1/3 followed by a nice downhill albeit muddy and slippy in places. Car parking was well directed and the race marshalling was excellent and cheerful. There was a drinks station halfway round and at the end you were rewarded with a christmas pudding, a cup of mulled wine, a mince pie and a medal - Seriously good value for money. Slightly confused by the engraving "Kent Christmas Cracker"on the back of the medal considering we were in East Sussex,(presumably from one of their other events) but a medal is a medal and a very nice christmassy one as well. Definitely up for this race next year -lovely scenery, good organisation and value for money. Organisers please note: This could be a fantastic run in the summer!
