In short: I was worried about the sand on the beach, but as it was hard packed it was breeze; the killer was the sand leading on to the beach and it nearly killed me! But worth it. Great race, lovely views and great atmosphere. Date of review: November 12, 2006

In short: Leg burner In full: A general murmer went up when it was announced that the last 3km would be along the beach, they forgot to mention the dunes before that! Great fun though. Legs feeling it today. Date of review: October 30, 2006

In short: The dunes the dunes!! In full: Really enjoyed this very challenging race. Agree with a comment from someone else here, the soft sand at the 8k mark was the worst bit for me. Oh and that Agglestone rock thing aswell. But saying that I thoroughly enjoyed it and cant fault anything. Lovely weather also and the finish on the beach was something different than I am used to. Although at one stage I thought the finishing line was a mirage. I could see it from a long way out but it just didnt seem to get any closer........... Date of review: October 30, 2006

In short: Not the best one to wear new trainers on! but good race nonetheless In full: This was my first multi terrain race and it was certainly challenging compared to road running. The soft sand at about 8km almost finished me off. But would definitely try it again. Date of review: October 29, 2006
