In short: A treat for cross country fans In full: Fantastic weather again this year, considering how it has been either side of the event it was a real bonus.
Ground conditions much tougher than last year; very muddy and wet on the trails across the heath and the high tide didn't leave any harder sand for the run home, so it was soft sand or piles of slippery seaweed :)
Brilliant race, chip timing for the first time this year and faultlessly organised. A real credit to Victoria, all the organisers, marshals and volunteers for making it happen.
Just need the tagline 'Get off your arse and run' to reappear on the t-shirts next year. Quality :P
I hope to be there again in 2013. Date of review: October 22, 2012

In short: Best race in the country, in my opinion! In full: Couldn't fault this race at all. Fantastic scenery, well-organised and great goodie bag at the finish. Will be there next year. Naturists walking along the beach gave the race an almost surreal ending! Date of review: October 16, 2012

In short: Totally unexpected but the weather made it!!!! In full: Didn't know what to expect from this trail race but it had everything. Wonderful scenery, challenging in places, sand dunes to run through, bogs and big puddles to jump or tip toe round if you weren't feeling adventurous and an execellent goody bag at the end. Oh and of course more naturists (men of course) needed!!! Date of review: October 15, 2012

In short: If Carlsberg did trail races, this would probably be it!! In full: Think of a tick list for the perfect trail race - Glorious location on Studland Beach, mud, soft sand, water, sandy trails, hard packed trails, wonderful scenery all the way, not too long in distance, but long enough, great organisation and marshals, plenty of toilets at the start, a dip in sea at the finish and you have the Studland Stampede. Oh and the weather wasn't bad either! Sunshine all the way! Date of review: October 15, 2012

In short: brilliant again! In full: my second time doing this race and would do it again! so much variety of terrain means that I am sure it wouldnt be the same 2 years running. managed to make up 5 mins on last year which pleased me immensely :-) Dont be fooled by the shortish distance, it may be only 12k but it will take it out of you, i overheard comments by some of the more seasoned runners and no-one seemed to find it easy! fantastic organisation, lovely marshalls, great signage, super goody bags, and loads of Mud, water splashes, and oh yes the 3k of sandy beach at the end to really make you work. great scenery as usual, great weather too. This should be in everyones race calendar! Am coming back for more next year. Date of review: October 15, 2012

In short: Killer tough race, but still amazing. In full: The most fantastic weather really made this race. Clear blue sky, and just the right chill in the air. The sand is an absolute killer, and you can't avoid it at all, not made any better by having to run through mud and bog just before the worst of the sand, so your shoes are already wet and heavy. Despite that it was a lovely race, and we got the best goody bag ever, filled with Lush products, chocolate flapjack, and a National Trust hat. On top of that there were a supberb group of chiropractors giving free massage in the sun. Couldn't ask for more. Date of review: October 15, 2012

In short: Sand, more sand, seaweed, occasional October nudist, lots of dogs, fab views, great circuit, medal and lush goodie bag! Can it get any better? Date of review: October 14, 2012
