In short: Always one of favourite races in the calendar
In full: A pleasantly varied course of road and parkland and with just moderate and fortunately short hill. Good atmosphere on the village green at end. A bit of a shortage of Results and I am not sure I agree with the faster runners being allowed to collect two trophies for being in the first 3 overall & also collecting a Veteran one too.
But an excellent event and I shall be back

In short: Jolly.
In full: This is a happy friendly low-key 5 miler that is unmissable. Good pre-race atmosphere on the village green, then up past the farmyard to the start.
A varied course takes you along quiet lanes to the new village then off-road into the mostly shaded country park (excellent viewing points over the northern Weald and the Medway valley). One short sharp incline, a little bit of softer ground then generally downhill for a mile and a bit to the finish by the village green.
Local character (and characters) and the general Hashers' vibe make this quite joyful. A PB every time I turn up here. Medals are usually the best.

In short: Harvel pulls it off again
In full: Been back several times now and I like the course, the atmosphere and the fact that it's on a Saturday. Harvel is the Kent village that time forgot, so there's very little traffic, some chocolate box houses, a vilage green, pub and cricket pitch and that's all. Support it next year.

In short: Great atmosphere, no pressure race.
In full: Super run mainly through the country park shading us from the heat of the day. Well organised and great to have the jelly babies, beer tent and WI cakes at the end.
