In short: One I always look out for every year! In full: This was my second Mo Run and my friend and I always do a little challenge to raise momey for charity. In 2013 it was who would win, the 2014 race was try to get my friend under the 50 minute mark and I'd act as his pacer.
The organisation is top notch, the atmosphere is electric, the MC is brilliant and encouraging to all runners and the course is set in the scenice Greenwich Park.
A really tough race with plenty of hills but it really does fly by and it is such fun. Although the weather wasn't particularly warm, there were plenty of people there braving the cold, cheering everyone along and there was a real buzz from all the other runners. Well organised start so that the faster people were at the front and all the others who came for the fun run side of it too seemed to be having a great time with the Group Warm up too.
My friend got round in just over 50 minutes which although wasn't the target was a massive PB for him and he was over the moon.
One good thing about this race is there is plenty to do in the area afterwards so it's not a case of "Here's your medal and cheerio!" Belgian beer always goes down nicely after this race we've found...
I will continue to do this race as often as I can and a great run for a great charity. Date of review: July 13, 2015

In short: Great Race If 1500 people going to run a 10k on a cold morning in November In full: Been running since 1989 and don't say this about many races but this is a great race, friendly organisers & marshalling (to pick out a few marshalls the dancing lady and the American gentleman) and support (especially the hill at 4k/9k).
Even though support small they still brought the spirit of the London Marathon to the race.
Great for first timers and fun runners and friendly atmosphere for any type of runner.
Headband you are given a start of race, great fun warm up, unique medal at end and race for a good cause (Prostrate Cancer.
2 lap course a couple of hills but at least you know what to expect second time around. The crowd on the last hill towards finish amazing and get you up that hill
In short: Milton Keynes- Enjoyable run in a good location In full: Great little race this. Well organised and enjoyable pre race with active warmup and music and a lot of fancy dress/awful facial hair (mine included). Collected number and chip easy enough and was given a Movember head band before the race began.
There was a little bit of a delay to the start and as a result the 10K that i ran in didnt get off until about 1020 or so which was a slight downer considering the chilly weather. Great marshalling and support and the route is undulating in places but the last 1k is down again. Willen Lake is where our parkrun takes place and it really is a lovely part of MK. The last 1K starts a top Campbell Parks highest point which gives great views.
I absolutely obliterated my 10K PB by about 7 minutes but i havent run one in about 6 months and ive been doing a lot of training over the summer in that time. So i would say it isnt as easy as that makes out but certainly an opportunity for a PB.
At the end you get a nice little medal and there are free refreshments from Lucozade (other drink makers are available in shops haha) and a blanket.
My advice to Movember for next year would be:
1) The water point needs to be slightly longer and not at a corner. It got a bit congested. 2) Specified timing markers at the start. Im aware the 5K is provided as the fun run but it would be good to acknowledge that there will be some fun runners with us keeno's in the 10K by having estimated finish time markers in the queue at the start. This would avoid some people who were walking the whole route clogging the first 1K.
Those are the only 2 issues that i identified and they really are only minor and as such didnt ruin my experience. I would assume some people may mention the price on here and at £22 there are certainly cheaper 10k's out there. However given the well run day, the medal and the fect that the extra goes to such a great cause i am more than happy to pay that and i will certainly do so again next year.

In short: Fun 5k In full: Did the 5k with my husband & 5 & 7 year olds. Steep entry fee for on the day adults (£20) but offset by children being free!! Great medal and loved the headband! Nice route round a bit of MK (all looks the same in MK so never sure where we are!), mostly flat. Great support, really good at the start & finish. Only gripe was the start was very cramped and couldn't hear the start gun. Brilliant family day out and great atmosphere. Loved it! Date of review: November 24, 2013

In short: Fast race, great atmosphere In full: Really quick, flat as a pancake, great lady with microphone firing everyone up and cheering everyone on to the end. I clocked a good season's best (38:23)even though it was really(!) muddy. Date of review: October 22, 2013
In short: Good turn out for potential rainy saturday run near muddy riverside In full: The race is a potential PB as flat course out and back. Very mixed terrain and slippy due to previous rain and obviously muddy. Good staggered start to avoid congestion. Great PA woman at the start creating an atmsophere and trying very hard to get runners motivate before start. This fast 10k so I didnt like the cups of water as I cant sip them properly as this is potential PB course which I did PB! The finish was great to be recognised by name. Great to have free lucozade and some sweets and a sweat band.
Also a immediate finish time check and a print out. I even used the £5 engraving service to have my pb time put on the nice shiny medal. Medal has improved from 2010 and has richmond riverside on it.
Would do this again for another crack at pb on mixed terrain. This run definately worked out my legs especially quads as I had to watch my step on mud, pebbles, stones etc...not my usual run surface so toned me up.
