In short: A wonderfully scenic and friendly start to the racing year! In full: Gently undulating??!! I did this race for the first time in 2004 and my abiding memory was "the mountain at around mile 6". They seem to have moved it to mile 4 this year and it's VERY steep!!!!However, the countryside is glorious, there is plentiful support and the marshalls & staff friendly and encouraging. parking was a little more difficult this time, but alternative options were well signposted. Only gripe is the t-shirts...the only size left was XL, and my finish was 1.31, so either they ban small, fast runners or order some extra mediums in next year. Overall, a well organised and enjoyable race, definitely one I shall keep returning to. Date of review: February 13, 2005

In short: Quite pretty in places... In full: I enjoyed it as my friend and I both got PB's on this 10 miler. I thought it was quite pretty apart from the last mile or so, but that made me run faster to get past it. Date of review: January 19, 2005

In short: Good time of year for a pre-marathon 10 mile race In full: Fitted in well with my preparation for the Paris marathon. First time on the course which I thought would be more scenic than it was. Reasonably flat except for a hill at 4 miles for almost 1 mile and a smaller one at 9miles. Ran a PB as I usually run on tougher courses or X-country. Overall worth doing if its close to home for some race practise. Date of review: January 19, 2005

In short: A good early taster for 2005 FLM In full: Some pleasant surprises scenery-wise (railway viaduct for e.g.)epecially given the proximity to the M25/Thmaes Gateway. One challenging hill, otherwise gentle enough for PBs. Bit confused and congested at the start/finish lines - no T-shirt at finish, just spot prizes apparantly, but may have been available at the prize-giving, which I couldn't hang around for. All in all a good jaunt! Date of review: January 18, 2005
