In short: well worth the trip out and how did you find thoughs hills?
In full: very friendly marshals, not a gimmicky race. A true perspective of road racing. Enjoyed the course especially the off road bit. Will be back next year.Well done to Sleaford striders

In short: Rewarding route
In full: My first half marathon. Only slight criticism would be finding my way to the start - not very clear signage, but the route was very good and the muddy bits I found fine. Hard seeing the finish five miles away but every encouragement given by the marshalls. I'll do this one again.

In short: Bad weather made the off-road section difficult
In full: The decision to move the start seemed strange as the mud further up the course was a lot worse than anything near the start? Overall a good effort by Sleaford Striders - long may the race continue.

In short: Challenging with the off-road bit, well organised enjoyed for first ever half marathon
In full: Only been running since December 05 to train for my entry to the London Marathon 06. Decided best enter a half marathon, decided on this one as it's very local. Furthest I've ever ran and made a bit tougher wet the muddy off road bit, but enjoyed the run and was pleasantly suprised by my time of just under 1hr 43mins. Im running another one at Silverstone 19 March so will be good to compare my times.

In short: PB potential...when the weather is dry!!
In full: This is a local race for me as I work on Cranwell. I was a little disappointed with the facilities at the start and finish considering the amenities that are available on the station. The start lacked shelter and somewhere for the early birds to congregate which wasn't amusing considering the bloody cold weather. The finish was a similar affair although the hot drink was most welcome. The marshalling was excellent and very enthusiastic!! The race had a good batch of slower runners, but I always find it heartbreaking when the organisers start packing the finish away before everyone is home. If you aren't prepared to wait for everyone then limit your entry to racing snakes!

In short: What A Challenge - But What A Buzz!
In full: This was my first ever half marathon, and boy can I pick em!

Although the majority of the race is on the road, there is cracking 2 mile hippo-esque mud-wallowing section, which really zaps your legs! But it's so much fun!And who knew that Lincoln had hills?! :)

The many marshalls are warm and friendly and very encouraging, and the last few runners finishing are made to feel as special as the winner.

Overall, a tough cookie, but well marked, well marshalled and well muddy!

I will definitely be back next year. Hope the mud will be too!

In short: My first proper half. Thouroughly enjoyed it, next year will do it with a team.
In full: This is local for me. I have run XC and road 10k at RAF Cranwell over the years but the half was excellent. Next year we intend to put together a station team in order to raise cash for service charities.
