In short: Great event - lovely way to spend a summer's evening In full: This is the first time I have run this event, having had good reports last year. I really enjoyed it. Maybe a little too much road for my liking, but all in all it was a great route. The sausage baps afterwards were appreciated - and sepecially so as there were veggie ones. Thanks Malvern Joggers. Looking forward to next year. Date of review: June 26, 2010
In short: Great way to spend s wednesday night. Route was nearly all cross country, and quite hilly! Really enjoyed it, fast finish. Came 5th! Thanks for the mug and sausage sandwich! Date of review: June 18, 2010
In short: Even better than last year In full: I thoroughly enjoyed last year's inaugural running of Malvern Joggers' 10k event, but a few subtle changes to the route made the 2010 race even better. With free food provided at the local pub afterwards, this is a great way to spend a summer evening.
To those who were critical of the gentlemen who ran the entire route blowing on a vuvuzela - I do think it's important that such people are allowed out into the community from time to time. Date of review: June 17, 2010
In short: Even better than last year In full: Already this race is virtually perfect. The revised course ironed out a couple of minor flaws and everything else - from organisation to marshalling to value - was as good as it could be. Date of review: June 17, 2010
In short: An improved course over last year, and smooth as clockwork (even though the gound wasn't! In full: The 2nd Malvern Joggers 10k run was over a revised route, taking in the Gullet Quarry now, and avoiding the main road completely, thus making it more scenic, safer and possibly a little easier going. Weather was beutiful, organisation perfect (from the pre-race meet, to the double sausage burgers at the end), plenty of marshalls all cheering you on, and a nice mug to take home. Will definately be back again, as this ranks up there as a top Worcestershire race. Many thanks Joggers (but ease up on the World Cup horns next year, they hurt the ears)!!! In short: Some would say challenging!! In full: Although I tripped and fell over before I had even reached the start line I had a great evening. The organisation from registration all the way through to the free hot dog at the pub was excellent. There was no chance that I would ever beat my 10k pb (58.25!)but I will d efinitely be back next year - probably without the sunglasses :-) Congratulations to the Malvern Joggers (especially the one who zoomed past me near the end)!!
