In short: Excellent race, snow made things interesting In full: The weather could have been a lot worse, there was a lot of snow but very little wind. The race was very well organised with really excellent marshalling despite the arctic weather. The hill is a toughie, normally you can make up the time on the downslope but this year the track through the woods was very slippery and certainly cost people a few seconds on each lap. I was pleased with my time, 3 minutes quicker than last year and 1.20 faster than my PB set at the end of 2007. Date of review: March 28, 2008
In short: Excellent race, made even more scenic by the snow! In full: A very well organised event using a very picturesque course which was made even better by the snow. Big thank you to the very enthusiastic marshalls who turned out on a very cold day, especially the ones at the water station!
Only improvement I would suggest would be somewhere to get a hot drink afterwards. Date of review: March 25, 2008
In short: Shame the weather was awful but great race. Lovely route, will use it for training runs in future. The Marshalls were very encouraging despite the weather and made it quite enjoyable. More toilets needed. Goody bag and medal nice touch at the end Date of review: March 24, 2008
In short: Must admit i wasnt too keen on the idea of running in the sleet/snow, but once there and underway enjoyed it immensly and got a 10k personal best. Thankyou to the organisers -BUT - more womens loo's please. Date of review: March 24, 2008
In short: Great Friendly Race! Shame about the weather In full: This was my third year and I will be back next year! This was the first race I ever did so is kinda special to me - and my most competative to myself! Shame about the snow, but it just added to "experiences"! A big thank you to the marshalls as I received much encouragement during the race - my favourite being "we dont run up hills we get over them!!!!" and it worked!! Thanks again - see you next year! :D Date of review: March 24, 2008
In short: a good friendly race In full: a good beginner friendly race throughly enjoyed by my son and me. Marshalls did a fantastic job all the way round, considering the weather, and they encouraged all the way round. I even had time to stop for an impromto snow-ball fight with nephews and nieces! Uphill was not the challenge, staying on your feet along the muddy lane was! Date of review: March 24, 2008
In short: In full: Disappointing time, snow cold and earlier start did not help me! However marshalls and scenery great. Marshalls supportive and encouraging, organisation good, scenery great and no traffic. Great queues for ladies toilets and used the bushes and the mens but sdid check no one was using thenm at the time! However would do it again and omne of the most scenic races in Norfolk.
